I had recently posted a short video tutorial on how to achieve the No Makeup Makeup look on my Instagram page here
But I also wanted to do a small post regarding things to keep in mind while going for the no makeup makeup look. My version of a no makeup makeup look does not involve any foundation or an eyeshadow. However, some people may want to use a foundation too for extra coverage.
I start my makeup with some skincare in order to achieve a no makeup makeup look. The m0ost important thing here is to let your natural beauty shine through the makeup. So you may start by applying a brightening eye cream and a mattifying moisturizer.
After that, it is very important to use a good concealer to hide all your blemishes, marks, and dark circles. I suggest the Maybelline fit me concealer which is by far my most favorite concealers.
Then you must use a good compact powder to set your makeup. Make sure not to overdo this step to avoid a cakey look.
For eye makeup, I used a brown eye pencil – Rimmel scandal eyes in the shade bootleg brown as it gives a more natural look than black kohl.
he next thing I did was use a very neutral shade of blush with finely milled shimmer which served as a doubler duty- Blush + Highlighter. The blush should not be overdone in a no makeup makeup look and should be applied so that the skin looks naturally flushed.
Wear mascara as it opens up your eyes and literally makes them pop. Lastly, moisturize your lips well with a lip balm. Apply a lipstick shade which a 2 or 3 shades darker than your original lip shade. This kind of lip shade is called the MLBB or my lips but better shade. I tend to gravitate towards peachy brown neutrals or a pinky peachy brown for an MLBB shade.
I have worn the Milani lipstick in Naturally chic. You can also wear the Maybelline creamy matte in touch of spice which is a beautiful MLBB.
